Daniel Stern with Kayo Shido

The Collaboration Series Project: Each piece of the collaboration series is started by one of the artist and then mailed back to the other in a repeated exchange, without any dialog by either of the artist. No rules, no timeline, no restrictions or stated purpose are established other than a desire to complete the piece with respect to the progress and sensibility of the other. Each painting reaches a conclusion on its own merit.

Kayo Shido is an American mixed media artist currently based in New York City. Fascinated with self-expression through art, she further explored the subject academically at institutions such as the Art Student League of New York and Saga Art College. She now focuses on her landscape-inspired abstract pieces on a full time basis.

This Collaboration Project consisted of 9 paintings by Daniel Stern and Kayo Shido. Dates ranged from approximately 2000 to 2005.
